GS-606 is suitable for reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, DTRO membranes, hollow fiber membranes, as well as nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes. It effectively removes organic foulants and microorganisms from membrane surfaces. As a dispersion liquid, it mixes readily with aqueous solutions, reducing processing intensity and cleaning time. Its rapid dissolution and dilution efficiently release contaminants without damaging membrane surfaces. This superior cleaning performance extends membrane operational lifespan. The typical dilution ratio is 2-4% of the total cleaning system volume, where the entire system includes the cleaning tank, connecting pipes, filters, pressure vessels, and membranes.
Application method
- Inspect the cleaning tank, hoses, and security filter.
- Check and replace the cleaning security filter cartridge with a new one.
- Fill the cleaning tank with RO permeate or deionized water. Gradually inject the calculated dosage into the tank, circulate the solution using the cleaning pump, and heat it to the maximum temperature specified by the membrane manufacturer using the heater. Adjust the solution pH to 11-12 by adding hydrochloric acid or ammonia.
- Circulate in the feed direction for 30 minutes at the flow rate recommended by the membrane manufacturer or system supplier.
- For severe fouling, discard the initial return fluid (≈15% of the tank volume) to prevent contaminant re-deposition. Carry out static soaking treatment for heavily contaminated membranes. After soaking, recycle and clean. Extend soaking time if fouling persists.
- Clean each stage separately to maximize effectiveness. If the cleaning solution becomes turbid or the pH deviates from the recommended range for this product, drain and reconstitute the solution before cleaning subsequent stages.
- Rinse thoroughly with RO permeate prior to system restart.
